this unit conducts high-visibility traffic enforcement, dui saturation patrols, and more. they are also responsible for the investigation of traffic homicide incidents.

Criminal Investigations unit members

the criminal investigations division is a general assignment unit, following up on everything from theft and burglary to robberies and homicides. they are supported by full-time crime scene investigators and a crime analyst.

Mid-Florida SWAT team members

Swat team

clermont police department participates in the mid-florida swat team, which is comprised of members from Leesburg, Mount Dora, Groveland, and Eustis Police Departments. It has 30 team members and is classified as a Tier 2 team per NTOA standards

Training & Recruiting Unit Members

The training & recruiting unit is responsible for identifying, selecting, & processing the next generation of clermont police officers. they also administer on-going training of current clermont officers, as well as the field training program.

K-9 Officers and handlers

k-9 unit

the clermont police department k-9 unit consists of two k-9 officers and their handlers. k-9 pike is a full-service dog, trained in narcotics detection and suspect apprehension. k-9 juno is trained in explosives detection and the location and recovery of missing persons.
